Meta EDA was founded by a group of EDA consultants in the San Francisco Bay area. By combining the resources and experience of our professionals, we provide a complete solution for EDA tool development, support and customization.

Our mission is to provide the most effective value-added products and services to the semi-conductor and EDA industry to complement industry standard offerings.

Each of our consultants have over 10 years experience as CAD managers, tool, flow and library developers for major semiconductor and EDA companies such as Cadence, Synopsys, and Intel.

People

Mario Aranha

Mario Aranha has been in the EDA and semiconductor industry for over 15 years. He has held various engineering and management positions at companies like AMD, Intel, HP, Agilent, AT&T Bell Labs and Lawrence Berkeley Lab. His expertise is in architecture and system integration of tools, libraries and flows for custom integrated circuit design. He has been a CAD Manager for several years and has many years of experience developing and supporting a variety of CAD tools in a UNIX and C/C++ environment. He is also familiar with the Cadence and Synopsys Analog/Mixed-Signal tool flows.

Shawn Luna

EDA Manager for the Level 1 (Later Intel through acquisition) RF design group. Shawn developed and implemented cutting edge RFIC PDK's including front and back end tools for the first fully integrated CMOS RFIC transciever. His group designed and fabricated industry leading RF SOC products in the 900MHz - 2.4GHz frequency range. Shawn has also developed and supported flows for very large digital designs, such as network processors and very high speed (SiGe 40G) processes.
